Through the incredible support and sacrifice of everyday people, Dreambuilders Church ’s Advance vision continues to bring fresh hope and raise the confidence of men and women to get on with their role in “the mission” – that none should perish.

Through our faith promise giving, over the last 5 years $1,000,000 has been given by this one local assembly towards changing the lives of others with another incredible $365,000 faith promised for 2008-09. That says something about what is important to us and you are to be congratulated.

I love Paul’s words in Hebrews 10:34 For you both had compassion in my chains, and took joyfully the plundering of you possessions, knowing that you have for yourselves a better possession and an abiding one.

He’s saying he took their money to help others and their attitude was they gave it gladly. Its great working with men, women, teenagers and children who don’t mind some “plundering of their goods” to make a difference in the lives of people less fortunate than ourselves.

The smallest good deed is better than the grandest good intention

Remember it’s always a team effort; we continue linking arms with Apostolic Churches across Australia to train up leaders and plant churches in our nation and beyond, knowing God has strategically placed us in one of the most resourced nations in the world for a reason.

Are there sacrifices to be made? Yes. Is there risk to those involved? Sure. But what any of us does is dependant on whether we are listening to the cries of the drowning or simply content with the comfort of the boat.

With that in mind, my prayer for each of us as we face the next 12 months is that we won’t just give or do missions because we can but because we must!
